A 5-year-old girl drowned while playing in a pool in the southwestern Chicago suburb of Orland Park, surrounded by relatives at a family gathering. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office says Stephanie Harrison of Oswego, was pronounced dead Saturday night at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights. Orland Park Police Lt. John Keating said the girl was swimming in an in-ground pool at the home when she drowned. He said adults and children were around the pool area and a lack of supervision was definitely not a factor in the drowning.
