Junior forward Rayvonte Rice poured in 21 points, including the two winning free throws, to lead top-ranked Champaign Centennial 61-59 over Oswego during Saturday’s Boys Class 3A championship game at Carver Arena. Champaign started strong and led 36-28 at the half. Oswego hung around the entire game and took its first lead 52-51 late in the fourth quarter. The teams traded 3-pointers before the deciding final few seconds. It was Champaign’s first state crown.
